Antiquity, modernity, eternity

King Chandragupta constructed the Iron Pillar using a rust-resistant metal composition. Wrought iron was (re)invented during the industrial revolution.
Most of the major scientific developments come from the modern side of history. And modern civilisations mustn’t forget that modern scientific disciplines are themselves derived from Aryabhatta, Euclid and Pythagoras's mathematics, and Ved Vyas, Confucius and Aristotle's philosophy. The modern world stands on the wrecks and ruins of ancient civilisations. ‘The modern’ is perfection created from the organic chaos of ‘the ancient’. The modern in derived wisdom, not necessarily ideal wisdom.
The modern, medieval, and ancient combine to form our imperfect world perfectly. The modern is precise, the medieval fierce, the ancient vigorous. Three are needed to cause the perfect alchemy, to create the perfect harmony.
Whenever one side overpowers the other, it results in war, climate change, destruction.
Today needs these worlds’ combined wisdoms to tackle these impossible challenges. We need to rise above our sanctimony, recognise the goodness in one another, and help each other overcome our evils.
Like modernity, we need to stay tough and ingenious in the face of challenges. Like the Ancients, we need to know how much to yield, and in which battle, to keep sight of the larger cause. Antiquity and modernity must unite.
